Nature & Wood
Wood from responsibly cultivated and certified forests
Nature forms the basis for our lives. Our forests reduce the proportion of carbon dioxide in the air and thus act as an important filter and supplier of oxygen. This basis of life can only be maintained in the long run through sustainable action and environmentally conscious management of the forests. Approximately 95 percent of our parquet is made of the raw material wood. We therefore have a particular responsibility in the sector of industrial wood processing and we are quite aware of this. That is why we at ADLER PARKETT place great importance on the fact that our processed woods originate entirely from sustainably cultivated and if possible from FSC® and PEFC-certified forests. We are convinced: this is the only way to reduce overexploitation and illegal logging in the long term. All the other raw materials that we receive from suppliers also undergo strict quality controls during purchasing and the production process. This is how we ensure that we meet the high demands of our customers and also fulfil our own quality standards.
ADLER PARKETT: Certified in accordance with FSC® and PEFC
In order to also be able to prove the uninterrupted monitoring of the woods that we use in our production process we decided several years ago to have our operations certified in accordance with FSC® criteria.
We have been an FSC®-certified production operation since 2005 (IMO-COC-025052). We are able to offer our customers some of our two-layer floorboards as 100% FSC®-certified products. We have also been PEFC-certified since 2013 (IMO-025052). Since this time we are also able to sell our chateau plank ‘Château by adler’, for example, and many of our three-layer planks, with the certificate ‘Wood from ideally cultivated forestry’ at your request.
